Well, it’s nearly the end of January, which means most New Years Resolutions have already met their fate.

So to kick off February with a bang, and give everyone a chance to reboot their bodies…

We’re going to be giving up processed foods for the first week in February.

What Are Processed Foods?

When people advise against eating processed foods, what they really are saying is don’t eat heavily processed / ultra-processed foods.

These are foods that are made with five or more ingredients and often include lots of added stuff that doesn’t occur naturally like additives, colours and preservatives. They’re cheap to produce, designed to keep for a long time, and packed full of salt, fat, sugar and additives…

Things like sweet or savoury packaged snacks, ice-cream, chocolate, lollies, mass-produced packaged breads and buns, margarines and spreads, biscuits, pastries, cakes, breakfast cereals, muesli bars, fruit flavoured yogurts, health and slimming products, ready-to-heat meals, sausages, burgers, packaged instant soups, noodles and desserts.

Trading these fake foods for the real deal has been shown to improve your health, mood, appearance, body, and brain.
