And my favourite part was being able to include some of my home-grown produce.โฃ

The whole experience was not only rewarding, but made me realise how preparing delicious, nutritious, energy balanced meals has simply become a regular part of my day-to-day life.โฃ

In Sept 2015ย  I was in a motorcycle accident, dis In Sept 2015ย  I was in a motorcycle accident, dislocated my ankle and broke my fibula.โฃ

I lost my new job, was in severe pain, and decided to become a Personal Trainer aftering finding solace in the gym while recovering from my injuries.โฃ
โฃ
In Dec 2016 I went back into hospital to have the metal work removal.โฃ
โฃ
In Nov 2017 I had a campylobacter infection which then triggered an autoimmune response resulting in me becoming paralysed with Guillain-Barrรฉ Syndrome (GBS) in Dec 2017.โฃ
โฃ
I was left with chronic post-viral fatigue, severe muscle atrophy, and spent the next two year building my body back up...โฃ
โฃ
Only to land myself in hospital again in Oct 2019 due to my first Ulcerative Colitis flare.โฃ
โฃ
I lost several kilograms of muscle mass, spiked my chronic fatigue levels and spent the better part of 2020 learning to live with the disease.โฃ
โฃ
But here I stand at the end of 2020 happy and proud.โฃ
โฃ
I've worked hard to get myself to the place I am mentally, emotionally and physically. โฃ
โฃ
Iโ€™ve continued to pursue a career that fills me with joy;โฃ
โฃ
Rebuilt a strong body despite having to start over and adjust to my situation multiple times; andย โฃ
โฃ
Discovered myself, my values, and what truly matters to me.โฃ
โฃ
I no longer live to meet others expectations, or put insanely perfectionistic standards upon myself;โฃ
โฃ
I no longer feel the need to pretend to be someone Iโ€™m not, or allow cruel people to treat me like dirt; andโฃ
โฃ
I sure as hell no longer tear myself apart, or believe that Iโ€™m a worthless piece of shitโ€ฆ which I honestly spent so much of my life believing.โฃ
โฃ
Iโ€™m so proud of all of the things Iโ€™ve overcome, the work Iโ€™ve put in, and the person I am today.โฃ
โฃ
And I just wanted to share that with you today, because I want to know that you also deserve to be proud of yourself for everything youโ€™ve overcome, accomplished and the person you are todayโ€ฆ flaws, highlights and all.โฃ
